Aspirants for various regional positions in the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have started picking up forms at party’s offices nationwide.

The aspirants have up to Wednesday, July 18, 2018, to pick up a form each for GhC150.

According to the Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the party, Anthony Nukpenu, the process has been smooth so far.

“By the close of work yesterday [Monday], many party members had come to pick forms to contest the various positions that have been advertised. The activity was full of enthusiasm and euphoria. Many people came with their supporters and everything was calm. The office was opened at 9 o’clock this morning. I am reliably informed that two more people came to pick up forms.”

Raymond Tandoh, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, also said “they are still coming, as we speak, three people have just come. We’ve had about twenty aspirants who have come to pick up the forms. It’s very encouraging when you look at the party, the posters and the people around here”.

Nurudeen Kobina Issah, the Central Regional Director of Elections for the NDC, also said “As we speak, we have fifty-nine aspirants. The party is poised for 2020, there have been no challenges. The process is very simple. The aspirants come to pick the forms, we are not interested in what position they are contesting. We wait till August 23 and 24 when they file, then we will know what positions they are contesting for” .
