Real Madrid veteran Marcelo has sent a message to playmaker Isco, who appears to have fallen out with Los Blancos’ new manager.

Isco has played just 78 minutes under Santiago Solari since the Argentine took over from Julen Lopetegui, and is believed to have had words with the manager after Real’s latest LaLiga match.

It was then reported that Isco was dropped from Real’s UEFA Champions League squad to face Roma on Tuesday because of an apparent lack of respect towards Solari.

Asked about the attacking midfielder’s situation, Marcelo feels his teammate needs to identify where he is struggling and work hard to improve in those areas.

“Every player wants to play, but you have to work hard,” the Brazilian said, according to the Daily Mirror.

“I’m not anyone to give advice, we’re old enough, parents, and we all know what we have to do.

“It’s happened to all players. You have to work. I am not saying Isco doesn’t, but this is football. Look at where you are falling short and improve.”
